Heading out of the pretty town of Mogente (Moixent in Valencian) this steady climb takes us south from beautiful wine country towards Ontinyent, passing the Bosquet lake and through a spectacular gorge, before rising to give us fantastic views of the Costera plains. Mogente is located close to the nearby 4th BC ruins of la Bastida de Alcusses and the organic wine produced at Bodega Celler de Roure. This is a great climb to include as part of loop from Ontinyent via Fontars del Alforins in either direction, as it also makes an excellent descent.
